Chicken Masala
Ingredients:
1. Chicken Breast Fillet or Thigh Fillets diced 1/2 Kilo
2. Medium sized onion finely chopped
3. Garlic Paste 1 tea spoon
4. Ginger Paste 1 tea spoon or Dried Ginger Powder ( Saunth or Soondh) 1/2 teaspoon
5. Red Chilli Powder 1 Tea spoon
6. Salt (to taste)
7. Haldi ( Turmeric Powder) 1/4 teaspoon
8. Garam Masala 1 Teaspoon
9. Coriander Powder 1 teaspoon
10. Oil for Cooking 4 table spoons
11. Tomatoes 2 chopped
12. Chopped coriander 2 Tablespoons
13. Cloves 6 Nos
Instructions:
1. Take a heavy bottomed pan and heat all the oil in it . Throw in the cloved and fry for few seconds.
2. Add the diced onions and fry till golden brown.
3. Throw in the red chilli powder and stir.
5. Add the Garlic paste and stir.
6. Add the Ginger paste and stir.
7. Add Haldi ( Turmeric powder)
8. Add the Coriander Powder.
9. Add the Garam Masala ( save a little bit for adding at the end)
10. Add the diced tomatoes and stir for 5 minutes or more until the oil seperates from tomatoes.
11. Put in the chicken cubes now and keep on stirring.
12. Put some water ( 1/2 cup) and reduce the heat and let the chicken cook in this mixture for around 10-12 minutes. Remember to cover the pot.
13. Take the lid out and check, the water would have reduced, see if the chicken has been cooked well, you would see some oil coming out from the sides.
14. Add some yoghurt and cook.
15. Put some Garam Masala and stir for a minute.
16. Take off the heat and garnish with chopped Coriander.
